Fish Of The Year 2019

Well folks it's that time of the year again.  There are 13 winning fish to choose from for your vote.  Please vote for your favourite to become Fish of The Year 2019.

The voting will remain open for ten days (three days longer than usual) to allow everyone to have enough time to decide which fish to vote for.


1. January 2019 - Liam Smith with an 11oz smelt from the River Tyne




2. February 2019 - Whalesharkman with a Yarrells Blenny from Seaham North Pier




3. March 2019 - Liam Muizelaar with a 30lb Common Skate from the Scottish Highlands





4. April 2019 - Sam Smith with a 2lb 5oz Turbot from Druridge Bay




5. May 2019 - Whalesharkman with a 1lb 13.5oz Lumpsucker from Roker Pier




6. June 2019 - Sam Smith with a Spotted Ray




7. July 2019 - Sam Smith with a Thornback Ray  10lb 11oz




8. August 2019 - Steven Smith with a Tope  35lb




9. September 2019 - Sam Smith with a 6lb 5oz Bass from Northumberland




10. October 2019 - Thunderpants with a 9lb 6oz Bull Huss from SW Scotland
11. October 2019 - Juliogeordio with a Bass from Northumberland




12. November 2019 - James89 with a Cod  10lb 7.7oz from Lynemouth




13. December 2019 - Scotty73 with a Cod  13lb 1oz from Coldingham



I just slap it on my box and if it doesn't hang over the edge it isn't big enough

I voted with my heart for the second biggest Cod. It only got 1 vote, so James didn't vote for his own fish! :laugh:
