My votes in.

Some good catches this month. I thought the only lure caught bass of the month might have made the list mind.

it had slipped my mind Andy to be honest. There are a pile of reports to get through this mo th and pick out a few fish. In hindsight I probably would have entered it. Liam's bass was taken on a spoon though so sort of lure caught as well  smiley-lol.gif

can i just share a thought about this fish of the month comp and im not wanting to take anything away from young liam as he has caught some really nice fish and to be honest he deserves to win with any of them as they're all good fish.

would it not be better to limit the comp to one entry per angler? maybe give the angler who has caught more than one good fish the choice of which one to enter?

just a thought for future comps as anyone who has more than one entry automatically has an advantage.

just a thought guys

hadn't really thought about it Tony....

Sometimes me and mike just recon several fish are worthy of entry for different reasons. In turn they get votes off different people for different reasons. Some vote for size of the fish, some for rarity.... Etc....if we limit the options maybe someone is forced to vote for something they wouldn't normally vote for....

In a poor month one member may have 2/3 cracking entries. If it's limited then their one entry may be up against a poorer fish in comparison when they may well have landed the best 2/3 that month. Everyone is then deprived of a chance to vote on the better fish.

It's an interesting point though so I will run it past mike and get back to you  .cool.

Actually Tony, if you think about it, someone with two entries may well be at a disadvantage, as that angler's vote will be split between his/her 2 entries and someone could win with say 8 votes, when the angler with 2 entries might have 12 votes, but split between 2 fish.

However for the above reason, I agree that the angler with 2 good fish should be given the choice of picking one, as he/she then has a fairer chance of winning.  :)
The other half of the partnership that actually catches fish!

Just to put the record straight, Liams 3lb 15oz Bass was caught on freelined Ragworm. It was Stevens Bass of 3lb 10oz that was caught on the baited spoon.
