Fish of the Month November 2023
« on: December 01, 2023, 12:48:58 PM »
It’s a 2 fish race this month as I’d prefer not to have multiple Cod entries as it becomes more of a popularity contest then ;)

First up - Leadlobber with a PB cod  (6lb 4oz)

Next up - our newest member Oli95 with a big coalie (suspected 2lb)

I'm flattered by the nomination but I think there can only one winner here.  .cool.

It is always nice to be nominated Oli. I was nominated in July with a 9lb Pollock and got beaten into last place by a 4oz Gurnard!  .rofl.

Always worth posting a report Oli as they all get considered.

A 2lb coalfish is a big fish by local standards really so worth a nomination in my book.

We’ve made a point of not always just going with the biggest fish to give the lads a chance to win who catch some of the unusual mini species or fish that are particularly hard to catch…. A 5lb codling is a very good fish but a 1.5lb ray locally off Seaham pier is a much rarer and harder catch…. You get my drift anyway….

It’s always worth a post Oli  .cool.
