Two speed reels
« on: December 01, 2017, 06:35:13 PM »
Right lads Lynn and I are looking to purchase 2 speed reels for Norway - and also just because we fancy being tackle tarts for a change! However we have no idea what reels are worth buying?

Around £200 per reel would be about our tartiest! Any recommendations please and is £200 reasonable?

Thanks in advance

Lynn and Mark

If I was going to Norway I'd buy one of these.

I have the single speed one that I use for boat fishing and I use it in winter off the rocks as well. They are very powerful reels I reckon the two speed will make getting the big girls up a lot easier. I can imagine it's a hard day when your on the fish.

Thanks, that looks like a nice reel (love the colour!). Will look up reviews for it.

I thought I might have had a few more recommendations?

Thanks Nicky, looks like a decently priced reel. The penn squall I had you needed to take the tension off the line before the lever would click over to wind in, which was a pain, especially if you were snagged in the wreck! Hopefully the fathom is different. I will take a look at reviews.
