Model of SSP
« on: January 08, 2017, 03:49:07 PM »
I was having a wander around the Discovery Museum today and came across this model of the end of South Shields Pier. I never realised the foundation blocks went so far out from the side of the pier.

They also have a huge model of the River Tyne from 1929 that goes from the pier ends all the way up past Dunston Staithes showing all the shipyards along the river. My house was just a field lol. Its well worth a look if you are in the town. Free entry.
