Our Ultimate Predator

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE ULTIMATE PREDATOR IN OUR SPECIES CHALLENGE....WHO WILL IT BE? The angler with the most species of course on closing day October 31st 2017!....You must catch at least 26 different species to get to the top of the table and gain this status.

You must catch 15 different species in Tuna before moving up to Marlin status

The number of participants in the hunt has declined slightly since the start but with a minimum of 20 taking part each year it is still our most popular competition. Long live the SAR Species Hunt!!!!

Our 2018 hunt starts on January 1st. Don’t forget this is not just a shore competition -  Boat catches can be added as well. Let’s hope next years hunt is even bigger and better and we increase our total with more new species!
