Brighton Cast - Terry Carroll
« on: January 28, 2016, 10:43:45 PM »
The late Terry Carroll of Zziplex fame demonstrating the Brighton Cast. Worth noting that the rod in the video is a Zziplex M4, a mid-range Zziplex that many up here would consider a "soft" rod...

I never had the honour of meeting or casting with Terry sadly. When I had my (brief) spell chucking with the Sussex Casting Club at Steyning I got to cast with a lot of the big names like Steve Lewis, Big Danny Moeskops, Gary Dickerson, Christian Brayley, Andy Copping etc but by that time Terry was in semi-retirement and only making the odd appearance at the UKSF

Makes it look so easy. I cast off the ground when i can but not the brighton just couldnt get used to it. Casting lessons off bob collins he could cast backwards further than most people can forwards. Brilliant caster
