The purpose of the Cod challenge is for SAR members to catch a Cod that weighs 3lb or over. Those who beat the challenge will be awarded the grinning yellow fish in their signature.  The heaviest Cod caught will win the competition and the winner will receive a trophy.

The competition is open and free to all Sea Angling Reports members. A trophy is up for grabs for the winner along with entry into our prestigious Hall of Fame where only the best anglers reside.
Rules, well we need some  but they are very simple to follow.

Rules below....
1/ Sea Angling Reports members only allowed entry into the "Cod Challenge" Competition.
2/ Sea Angling Reports members must have caught their Cod after their forum registration date and not before.
3/ All Cod entered must be shore caught, this includes piers, breakwaters, tidal rivers, river estuaries and jetties.
4/ A clear picture of your Cod with yourself in the same picture or our cod challenge id card in the picture must be supplied to SAR.  Either post a report with picture on the forum or email the picture to admin at debdav@blueyonder.co.uk
5/ Boundaries: Your Cod entry must be caught in UK waters only.  Added information: Try to be as accurate as you can when weighing your fish, preferably on a set of digital scales. Entries will be accepted if it is agreed by admin that the weight of your cod is approximately what you have entered.       Admin, SAR  .cool.
